Avantika Vandanapu is a 17-year-old actress who plays Janet Singh in the 2022 American high school comedy, Senior Year. She was born on January 24, 2005, in Union City, California to a Telugu family.
The Telugu people are native to the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and part of Puducherry, but many also live in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other parts of India, as well as other countries of the world.

Career
Contrary to what seems to be the popular assumption, Senior Year is definitely not Avantika Vandanapu’s first film and/or TV role, despite her young age.
She officially debuted as a child actor in the 2016 melodrama Brahmotsavam after joining the Telugu cinema a year before. That was only the beginning of her career as she has been in several movies since then.
To date, she has a total of 16 screen credits as an actress, according to IMDB in more than one language including English and Indian.
Avantika studied drama at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco for three years but grew up as a dancer. She competed in the North America edition of Dance India Dance Lil Masters in 2014 and came in second place when she was nine years old.
Her first English language movie role was in the animated series Mira, Royal Detective as Kamala. She voice acted in 29 episodes since 2020. Other roles include Monyca in the American comedy-drama series Diary Of A Future President (seven episodes), Rhea Kumar in DCOM Spin.
