R&B singer Teyana Taylor, has decided she’s had enough of the rumours that she abuses drugs and that her husband cheated on her.
Last week, A Tiktok video posted by user @klatschhh went viral after the user hinted that a TV show host with two daughters had a mental breakdown because her husband cheated on her.
The TikTok user- through an anonymous tip made by someone who was allegedly a former assistant to the singer- hinted that Teyana was actually in the hospital for drug overdose and not exhaustion like she had claimed when she posted about it last year.
In November 2021, Teyana had posted a picture of herself in the hospital bed, smiling and raising up two fingers. The caption had read:
“My team & I tried everything down to the very last second to get me out on that stage, but my body simply just gave out, which actually started a few days ago,” Teyana said at the time. “SHUT DOWN, my body actually low key betrayed me cause ah bitch was tryna get on that stage.”
The TikTok account became popular for re-enacting unconfirmed stories about celebrities and the user would normally hint at who she is referring to by making their homes the background for the videos.
Teyana has rebuffed the claims, called it “cap” and threatened to take legal actions against all the persons involved in the slander.
“The person who sent in this CAP ass TikTok story is a fool, the person who ‘re-enacted’ this CAP ass story is a fool (she better have her court coin ready) but the people who believed the CAP ass story are the biggest fools smh,” she wrote. “Y’all allow a YT girl to pull some shit like this during Black History Month???”
She went further to say that not a single person could make her consider abusing drugs,
“NOBODY AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOBODY CAN MAKE PETUNIA OVERDOSE ON A DAMN THING,” she added. “I’d kill @imanshumpert fine ass, put him in a nice suit and bury him my damn self before I EVER let him or ANYBODY to push me to do drugs or take myself out.”
She also called out the clout chasers for always wanting to do anything for the views and said they needed to stop “preying on black positive families that are thriving. Instead, start PRAYING for world peace & to bring an end to all the craziness going on out here. Ppl are dying, police are still killing our brothers, our brothers are still killing our brothers, Black women are still the most disrespected & unprotected women in the world.”
Afterwards, she went on to The Shade Room to further defend herself and her family, “Y’all know I stay out the way and mind my business. But I will ABSOLUTELY defend myself and take out the TIME to address a rumour like this. Attaching my personal home & likeness in the background of a video that is spreading FALSE & dangerous rumours about my family & I is damn near like saying our names LOUD & CLEAR. So wether I address it or not it’s damned if you do damned if you dont so f**k it but don’t ever play with my family.”
