Mary J. Blige, in partnership with Pepsi, is organizing the Strength of a Woman Festival (SOAW) and have scheduled it to hold on the Mother’s Day weekend in 2022.
On Women’s Day, Mary took to her Instagram and posted, “Good Morning Gorgeous! Welcome to the inauguration, the beginning and the debut! Yours Truly and @Pepsi presents the Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit 2022 in partnership with @LiveNationUrban. Our purpose is to empower, educate and elevate! May 6-8 in Atlanta, Georgia.”
The event is set to honour women, female artists and businesses, and aims to give back to the city of Atlanta.
It will feature an array of popular artists and entertainers.
Tickets went on sale on the 8th of March 2022, the day of International Women’s Day.
Mary announced that she would be collaborating with Pepsi in the organizing of this event and that the event will feature many talented artists and also recognize “friends, mothers, sisters and the countless women who walk unapologetically in their truth and strength”.
Apart from music, the three-day event will also feature comedy entertainment and Mary has secured a number of comedians including the likes of Ms Pat, Just Nesh and Wanda.
