How Jill and Joe Biden Resolve Conflicts Through “Fexting”

Dr. Jill Biden spoke with Harper’s Bazaar for an extensive interview for its June 2022 cover story, in which she discusses flexibility as a survival mechanism, being her husband’s greatest supporter.

Dr. Jill Biden, the first lady of the United States, disclosed that she and her husband resolve disagreements by “fexting,” What does fexting imply, and how effective is it in resolving relationship issues?

What may appear to be a derogatory term turns out to be a means to avoid resolving conflicts in front of the Secret Service.

The First Lady stated that she and the President use a technique she refers to as “fexting.” The couple has reportedly been utilizing this strategy to great success since the Obama administration as a way to reach lease rage away from the all-hearing Secret Service.

What is fexting?

“Fexting” is defined as “pressing random buttons on your phone to make it appear as if you’re” texting someone, or “fake texting,” which is sending lies to conceal one’s tracks, according to Urban Dictionary.

Dr. Biden, on the other hand, does not interpret it that way. Fexting is a portmanteau word that means “fighting and texting” or “text-fighting,” according to her.

Dr. Biden texted (or “fexted”) her husband after a recent quarrel, and received the following response: “You understand that’s going to go down in history.” There will be documentation of that.”

She slyly refuses to say “what [she] called him at the time.”
