Career
Following a relatively successful music and dancing career growing up, Rowlene released her first single titled “Imposter” at the beginning of 2016 as an exclusive debut track on Good Hope FM, she was fourteen then. She quickly gained exposure and this caught the attention of former Free World Music executive, Zyne Marcus, who then offered her a contract to work alongside Hip Hop artists such as Nasty C, Erick Rush and Tellaman. Her soft, sultry and sexy style to rap offered a different approach to the male dominated rap industry.
Her collaboration with Nasty C on his hugely successful album, “Bad Hair”, particularly with the “Phases” song brought her to the attention of Hip Hop heavyweight Riky Rick who was apparently impressed by her voice that seemed almost ‘Celestial’. Riky Rick helped Rowlene with her second single titled “Dance with You”.
