If you are a marvel fan, you may not be unfamiliar with the face and acting of Letitia Wright.
The 28-year-old Black Panther actress has been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a while.
Who is Letitia Wright?
Letitia is a British actress that became popular for her role in many television series including Top Boy, Doctor Who and Black Mirror.
Before her debut at the age of 17, Letitia went to the Identity School Of Acting and then got her first acting role in the BBC hospital drama Holby City.
Letitia Wright was born on the 31st of October, 1993 in Georgetown, Guyana, but moved to London with her family when she was seven years of age.
She is a Christian and showcases this with her Bible verse posts on her Instagram.
Speaking to Vanity Fair on the matter, she said, “Everybody has their thing they’re truthful about. My thing is just a love of God… so that’s what I’m going to do.”
She has since then moved from one popular role to another, making a name for herself in the movie industry.
One role in particular that has increased her popularity, is the part of Shuri in Black Panther. Here she plays the role of sister to the main character and the Black Panther. Shuri was also a tech-wizz in the movie.
Wright has also made appearances in other movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In the movie adaptation of Death On The Nile, Letitia plays the role of Rosalie Otterbourne, the niece of Salome Otterbourne, a popular and successful singer.
But this was not the role of Rosalie in the 1937 book by Agatha Christie.
In the book, Rosalie is portrayed as the bad-tempered daughter of Salome Otterbourne, a romance author.
Rosalie is embarrassed by her mother and it shows in her behaviour.
The movie is set In River Nile, Egypt, and has gotten a lot of accolades.
Letitia has been nominated for a number of awards, and she has won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2019 and a SAG Award in 2018.
In 2020, she launched a production company which she named 3:16, explaining that it is named after the Bible verse John 3:16.
Letitia Wright is set to play the role of twins – June and Jennifer Gibbons – in the upcoming film “The Silent Twins”, which is set for release this year.
