Pop star Charli XCX is ready for the big screen, and she has a very specific idea for the next Final Destination movie.
On Tuesday, May 26, the 32-year-old singer, known for her album Brat, posted a TikTok video where she shared her detailed thoughts and casting suggestions for a possible Final Destination 7.
Relaxing poolside in Sicily, Charli XCX told her followers she’d been rewatching all the Final Destination films to get ready for the upcoming movie, Bloodlines.
She explained her love for the series, saying, “The reason I love these movies is that they really are just about hot people getting killed.”
She also appreciates that the thrillers have “no moral backbone,” adding, “It really is like, they’re hot, they’re cursed and they deserve to die.”
Despite believing the films do well regardless of the cast, the “360” singer has some dream casting ideas. “I was thinking, shouldn’t there be a sort of, ‘It Girl’ version to this franchise?” she pondered. “You know? Like a Final Destination with ‘It Girls.’ ”
Her ideal “It Girl” cast includes herself, along with Rachel Sennott, Alex Consani, Gabbriette, Romy Mars, Quenlin Blackwell, and Devon Lee Carlson.
She also suggested adding “a scream queen like Jenna,” likely referring to Jenna Ortega, known for her roles in horror films and series like Scream and Wednesday.
To top it off, Charli XCX also expressed a desire for an “OG” scream queen like Sissy Spacek to join the cast.
Actress Rachel Sennott quickly responded in the comments, writing, “Ok I’m in,” to which Charli XCX enthusiastically replied, “let’s gooooooo.”
