Savannah Chrisley is overjoyed and tearfully preparing for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, to come home after President Donald Trump pardoned their convictions for tax evasion and bank fraud.
In an emotional Instagram video Tuesday evening, Savannah, 27, shared her excitement. “We are freaking out over here, I have shed so many tears,” she said. “The president called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club and notified me that he was signing pardon paperwork for both my parents.”
She added, “Both my parents are coming home tonight or tomorrow, and I still don’t believe it’s real.”
Savannah expressed immense gratitude to President Trump, his administration, and everyone who supported Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, during their legal battles. She’s busy getting clothes and their rooms ready for their return.
“I’m just speechless… Grayson’s showing me all of these things that people are posting and we are so grateful,” she continued, referring to her 19-year-old brother. “It still doesn’t feel real. I’m freaking out. So I’m gonna go prepare to pick up my parents. They’re coming home. My parents get to start their lives over.”
In a video shared on X, Mr. Trump, 78, confirmed the news to Savannah, saying, “Your parents are gonna be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow.” He added, “I don’t know them, but give them my regards and wish them a good life,” claiming he had heard the couple endured “harsh treatment” in prison.
Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were found guilty in June 2022 and sentenced to 12 and seven years in federal prison, respectively. They had been appealing their case since November 2022.
They had served approximately two years of their sentences before the pardon was granted.
