While they didn’t reveal the reason for their decision, it’s possible that their whirlwind romance in the show’s Mallorca location didn’t translate to real-life compatibility once they returned to normalcy.
Sean’s statement expressed gratitude for their time together and appreciation for the support they received, concluding that parting ways is the best step forward for both of them.
Sean’s statement said: “Just wanted to come on here to tell you guys that Matilda and I have decided to part ways. We are good friends & I’m so grateful to have shared such an incredible experience with her.
“We appreciate all of your support throughout our time together and all the love you have shown us both we both believe this is the best step for us moving forward. Love you all.”
Matilda’s post reads: “Sean and I have decided to part ways. We remain good friends and are thankful for the incredible experience we shared. We appreciate the support and love you’ve shown us.”
Their decision comes after facing challenges in the villa, including Sean’s brief connection with Diamanté during Casa Amor, which tested their relationship.
Despite overcoming this hurdle and finishing third in the final, they have ultimately decided to go their separate ways.
