Is Zara Dar Indian or Pakistani?

In a recent post on X, she clarified rumours around her place of origin.

Zara Dar said that she is not Pakistani, following the spread of misinformation about her on social media.

She wrote, “After I made a video explaining why I dropped out of my PhD to focus on OnlyFans full-time, I have noticed a lot of misinformation circulating online, whether intentional or not. I have not given any exclusive interviews yet, so I want to set the record straight.”

Among the misconceptions she addressed was the rumor about her being Pakistani, explaining that her name “Darcy,” which she shortens to Dar, often leads to confusion with another Pakistani beauty influencer named Zara Dar.

“With all due respect, I am not Pakistani. I am American, born and raised, with a mixed background: American, Persian, Southern European, Middle Eastern, and Indian,” she stated in her post.

The viral YouTuber also denied any connections to products or deepfakes created in her name, which began to surface after her video.

She clarified that while she was leaving her PhD studies in engineering, she would still create content about the subject on her YouTube channel, as pursuing OnlyFans full-time has provided her with “the freedom to learn and share new content.”

On Monday, Zara surprised her fans with a video detailing her decision to stop pursuing her doctorate to concentrate on OnlyFans.

She mentioned that not only was it a more financially viable choice, but it also freed her from the limitations of an academic career.
