The Gossip Girl actress died from complications related to diabetes, according to the New York City Medical Examiner. Her death was ruled as natural.
No autopsy was done, but toxicology tests helped determine the cause. Her family had asked for no autopsy due to religious reasons. Authorities said there was no sign of foul play.
Michelle passed away in February at the age of 39. Her mother found her in her New York City apartment. At the time, her family asked for privacy and shared no further details.
