“Vanderpump Rules” star Lala Kent has announced the arrival of her second child, born on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, via sperm donor conception.
Although she hasn’t shared any photos of the newborn, she expressed her joy on Instagram Story, writing, “Welcome to the world, my love.”
This new addition joins big sister Ocean, 3, whom Lala shares with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett. The couple parted ways in 2021.
Lala had previously revealed her plans to pursue intrauterine insemination for her second child during an appearance on the “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay” podcast in November 2022.
“I will not even attempt to try and do it a different way,” she explained at the time. “I don’t want another person involved.”
During a March episode of “Vanderpump Rules,” Lala Kent opened up to Lisa Vanderpump about her decision to conceive via sperm donor, emphasizing that her mind was made up and she didn’t want a “baby daddy.”
She further explained her reasoning on “Talk,” sharing that she’s looking forward to not having to share her child with an ex on holidays.
Lala admitted that co-parenting with her ex, Randall Emmett, has been incredibly challenging and emotionally draining, saying it “rips her heart out.”
She acknowledged that her desire to have sole responsibility for her child might seem selfish, but it’s what she feels is best for her.
The reality star publicly revealed her pregnancy news in March.
“I’m expanding my pod,” she captioned her Instagram bump debut. “Cheers to a new addition to my little family.”
The “Give Them Lala” podcast host revealed the sex of her baby to Amazon Live viewers the following month with the help of a pink confetti-filled balloon.
“Shout-out to the daughters. I’m gonna have two,” she gushed in April. “I am so excited to be a girl mom.”
