Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Take Legal Action Following Wildfire Devastation

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are suing Los Angeles City and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power after their home in Pacific Palisades, California, was destroyed in the wildfires.

The couple, along with 20 other plaintiffs, alleges that the city failed to keep a functioning supply of water, which, they say, exacerbated the devastation caused by the fires. The lawsuit also said the Santa Ynez Reservoir, an essential source of water for firefighting in the area, was offline and empty during the wildfires because of ongoing repairs. The plaintiffs contend this negligence resulted in them losing their homes. They are also seeking damages for property loss, income disruption, living expenses and legal fees.

Spencer and Heidi shared their heart-wrenching story with followers on TikTok and have detailed the sea of emotions they’ve experienced attempting to escape the natural disaster with their two sons, Gunner, 7, and Ryker, 2. Leaving their home with little to nothing, the family is now trying to start their lives from square one.

In the wake of their personal loss, the couple has turned to their fan base for solace and support. Spencer began a campaign to bring Heidi’s 2010 album, Superficial, to number one on the charts, using the power of their community to help finance their recovery. Enthusiasts rallied the @, providing emotional and financial support, resulting in the album finding new life 15 years after its initial release.

In the wake of this tragedy, Spencer and Heidi are determined to continue seeking accountability, and to rebuild as best they can with the support of their family and the love they’ve received from their fans.
