Maya Moore

Maya Moore is another top UConn player who impacted the March Madness tournament. She is a two-time All-American and won back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010. She also earned the Most Outstanding Player award in both of those years. 

Moore is the most prolific winner in NCAA history, with a 150-4 career record. She is the all-time leader in NCAA Tournament field goals and is considered one of the best players in the tournament’s history. 

Chamique Holdsclaw

Chamique Holdsclaw is among the most influential players for the Tennessee Lady Vols and in the NCAA tournament’s history. She was a three-time All-American and won three championships from 1996 to 1998. 

Holdsclaw earned the Most Outstanding Player award in 1998 and is the all-time leader in NCAA Tournament assists, rebounds, and steals. She finished her career as the leading scorer and rebounder at Tennessee and is known as one of the top all-around women’s college players ever to step on the court. 

Brittney Griner

The former Baylor University star is a three-time All-American and won three NCAA championships from 2009 to 2012. She also earned the Most Outstanding Player award in 2012 and set the NCAA record for blocked shots in a season as a freshman. 

Griner finished her college career averaging 22.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.1 blocks per game. She is the all-time leader in NCAA Tournament blocks and is considered one of the top players at Baylor and one of the most dominant in the history of March Madness.
