Kim Kardashian and Ex Kanye West Reunite Despite Divorce

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West put aside their differences for the sake of their kids, showing a united front at their daughter North’s performance at the Hollywood Bowl.

On the February 20 episode of The Kardashians, Kim, 44, and Kanye, 47, were both seen backstage as North, 11, prepared to perform at the Lion King concert event.

North sang “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” for the massive audience, causing Kim to nearly have a “heart attack” backstage from the nerves of watching her daughter perform. While she was getting ready, Kanye was by her side, showing his support as well.

“Her dad has been involved and he came to rehearsal,” Kim shared in a confessional, reflecting on her ex-husband, from whom she divorced in 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.

During the event, Kanye suggested making changes to the graphics for the performance. Kim agreed, saying, “Of course, of course. And I just look at them and I’m like, ‘It will be a better production [if you take his notes].'”

Kim also emphasized the importance of co-parenting. “Kanye and I want the best for the kids,” she said. “And so anytime we’re here supporting our child, it’s always good vibes.”

Before taking the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, North West stood between her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, holding both of their hands as they led her in a prayer circle for strength. The powerful moment was shared with fans on the February 20 episode of The Kardashians.

After North’s performance of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” Kanye praised her efforts, telling her, “You did so good.” North revealed that she had been “praying every second” during the song to hit the right notes, showcasing her nerves before the big moment. Kim and Kanye were there to celebrate their daughter’s success, with her younger siblings, Chicago, 7, and Saint, 9, also backstage supporting North.

Kim expressed her pride as a mom, saying, “It’s such a proud moment to see your child have so much fun and not be nervous at all.”

The episode also offered fans a rare glimpse of the couple’s co-parenting dynamic.

Since their 2021 split, Kim and Kanye’s relationship has been a topic of much public scrutiny, especially when Kanye aired their private matters on social media. In a previous season of The Kardashians, Kim spoke about how she handles the ongoing challenges.

“I think at this point, I just assume everything I text Kanye is gonna be put on the internet,” she said. Despite the public chaos, Kim remains focused on her children’s well-being, staying silent through the turmoil.

She explained, “Even through all of the craziness of everything that Kanye says about us, I never comment, I never post. We stay silent, we stay silent through all the lies.”

She also addressed Kanye’s repeated public comments about her past, particularly the media frenzy surrounding her sex tape, saying, “Even how he looks so down on me for my [sex] tape, brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again.”

Kim believes Kanye’s actions are more harmful in the long run, stating, “His actions would be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be.”

She added, “I have to sit here and not say anything, ever, because I know one day my kids will appreciate that. And I know that is the best thing for them.”
