Lauren Sanchez is getting ready to bring some glam to space.
On April 14, she’ll join Katy Perry, Gayle King, former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn on Blue Origin’s first all-female space mission.
In an interview with Elle, Sanchez; who’s engaged to Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos said, “Who wouldn’t want to get glam before going to space?!”
She joked that there will even be lash extensions floating around inside the capsule.
Gayle King asked if the lashes would stay on, and Sanchez replied confidently, “Mine are glued on. They’re not going anywhere.”
Katy Perry added, “Space is finally going to be glam,” and joked, “We’re going to put the ‘ass’ in astronaut.”
Aisha Bowe said she already tested her hairstyle while skydiving in Dubai to make sure it holds up.
Amanda Nguyen, who’s worked with e.l.f. Cosmetics, said she’ll be wearing lipstick for the flight and shared, “Women can be both scientists and stylish.”
Katy Perry laughed, wondering what outfit she should wear, while Gayle King admitted she feels both scared and excited.
“It’s like childbirth—painful but life-changing,” she said.
