Aimee Lou Wood isn’t judging anyone who uses injectables, but Botox isn’t for her.
“I’m very anti-Botox,” the White Lotus actress said on Vogue’s The Run-Through podcast.
“People can do whatever they want, but for me, a big part of my job is using facial expressions.”
She clarified that she’s not against other people doing whatever procedure they want, but for herself, facial expressions are her bread and butter.
So, she doesn’t want to mess with it or make it worse.
She explained that freezing her face would make it hard to act. “I need it to move,” she said.
Still, she admitted that sometimes her face moves a little too much. “I watch myself back and think, ‘Wow, what was I doing with my face?!’” she said with a laugh. “I didn’t even realize I was being that expressive.”
Lou Wood recalled an instance where she tried to stay calm and composed for a role but couldn’t control her expressions.
