Jinger Duggar, star of the reality show Counting On, is thrilled after giving birth to her third child, a baby boy, with her husband Jeremy Vuolo on Saturday morning at 5:37 a.m.
The couple, who are part of the large Duggar family, shared the happy news in a video on Sunday.
Jinger mentioned, “The baby’s doing great. I’m feeling tired, but overall it was a pretty good delivery.”
They chose a unique and special name for their son: Finnegan Charles.
In a vlog, Jinger explained, “We both really liked the name. Jeremy came up with it, and once he said it, I thought, ‘I love that name.’ It’s so strong.”
She said the baby’s nickname will be Finn and that Charles is “a family name.”
Finnegan is an Irish name meaning “fair-haired” or “white.”
It comes from the Gaelic name Ó Fionnagáin. The name has become more popular because of the novel Finnegans Wake by James Joyce, and it’s often shortened to Finn.
Finnegan now has two older sisters, Felicity, who is 6, and Evangeline, who is 4.
At 31, Duggar announced her pregnancy in an Instagram video from October 2024, after having her daughters in 2018 and 2020.
In the video, she wrote, “A family of five,” showing her surprise at getting a positive test result.
The couple found out they were having a boy two months later when they opened a gift of suspenders and overalls.
