Jay-Z Named in Lawsuit Over Rape of 13-Year-Old Girl With Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

American rapper and businessman, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, has been named in a civil lawsuit that accuses him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

The lawsuit, filed under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, was initially directed at Combs in October but was amended this past weekend to include Carter.

The anonymous plaintiff, referred to as Jane Doe, claims that the assault took place at a private afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City.

Doe’s legal representatives claims that both Combs and Carter were directly involved in the incident, which allegedly occurred in an environment fueled by drugs and alcohol.

What are the allegations against Jay Z?

The plaintiff claimed that a limousine driver approached her outside Radio City Music Hall, where the VMAs took place, and offered her a ride to an exclusive party.

Upon arriving, she claims she was asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

At the party, Doe alleges she was given a drink that made her disoriented.

Looking for a place to rest, she entered a bedroom, where she claims Combs and Carter came in shortly after.

According to the lawsuit, Carter assaulted her first while Combs and another unidentified female celebrity observed.

The lawsuit also states that Combs later attacked her.

The accuser revealed that she managed to escape and called her father from a nearby gas station.

The lawsuit is seeking damages for the emotional and physical trauma she experienced.

How has Jay-Z responded ?

However, Jay Z has denied these allegations, labeling them “outrageous” and a “blatant attempt at extortion.”

In a statement, Carter encouraged the accuser to file criminal charges instead of pursuing a civil lawsuit.

“If these allegations were true, true justice would come from a criminal investigation,” he stated.

He voiced concern for his family, highlighting the emotional impact such accusations have on his children.

“My wife and I now have to explain this to our kids, one of whom is old enough to hear about this from their friends,” he added.

Combs, who is already facing various civil and criminal accusations, has also denied all claims against him.

He is currently awaiting trial on unrelated federal charges, including racketeering and trafficking, which is scheduled for May 2025.
