How Ex- Convict Attempted To Slit Ex’s Throat, Pushed Her On Subway Tracks in Front of Teen Daughters

A convicted child rapist on parole allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend, slashing her and pushing her onto the subway tracks in front of her teenage daughters.

Michael Blount, 29, reportedly grabbed the 37-year-old victim by the hair and attempted to slit her throat while she waited for a train at the 125th Street station around 11 p.m.

The victim fought back, trying to shield her neck as he repeatedly slashed her face with a razor blade.

Blount then allegedly pushed her onto the tracks, just feet away from her daughters, who managed to pull their mother back onto the platform just two minutes before the next train arrived.

He fled the scene and evaded police for several weeks while continuing to call, text, and harass the victim and her daughters.

Blount was finally arrested on December 28 and indicted Wednesday on attempted murder and other charges.

Just before the disturbing attack, Blount had been harassing his ex-girlfriend and her children at a deli in Harlem.

According to court documents, he had repeatedly called her before the incident.

After she ignored him and left the store with her daughters, Blount followed them down the steps to the A-train station.

He then returned to the deli to purchase a single razor blade before going back into the subway and attempting to kill the victim.

A bystander called a cab for the woman and her daughters, which took them to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which required plastic surgery.

Blount is a convicted sex offender and a registered “sexually violent offender,” according to state records.

He was also charged with robbery and had been released in 2020, on parole until 2025.

He pleaded not guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday and was ordered to be held without bail.
