Customs Raid on Bezos’ Yacht Catches Lauren Sánchez Off Guard

Lauren Sánchez’s dream New Year’s Eve aboard Jeff Bezos’ $500 million superyacht, Koru, took an unexpected twist when customs officers carried out a surprise raid while the ship was sailing near St. Barts.

The former TV reporter, 55, was enjoying a sunny Caribbean day in a Versace bikini when the routine inspection abruptly interrupted her festivities.

Photos captured Sánchez on the top deck, smiling in a black sarong and wide-brimmed hat, as officers in black life jackets searched the yacht.

Witnesses reported that a stewardess appeared to guide the officers to specific areas of the massive vessel.

The inspection lasted three hours and was described by sources as routine and standard for vessels in the area.

While such searches are common in luxury hotspots like St. Barts during the holiday season, the presence of high-profile figures aboard Koru attracted additional attention.

Notably, Jeff Bezos was not on board during the incident, leaving Sánchez to handle the unexpected disruption with her guests.

Among those present was her ex-boyfriend, former NFL player Tony Gonzalez, who shares a 23-year-old son, Nikko, with Sánchez.

Gonzalez, 48, was seen enjoying the moment, taking a dip in the ocean and showcasing his athletic physique.
