Karrine Steffans, Author of ‘Confessions of a Video Vixen,’ has revealed details of her Complex Past with Sean “Diddy” Combs
In a candid interview with The Daily Beast, author Elisabeth Ovesen, better known by her pen name Karrine Steffans, opened up about her intricate connection to disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Steffans, who gained fame with her 2005 memoir “Confessions of a Video Vixen,” detailed her first encounter with Diddy in 2001. Notably, she had already made a name for herself in the music industry after appearing in Jay-Z’s 2000 hit “Hey Papi.”
However, Steffans revealed a startling aspect of their introduction, stating, “In retrospect, I realized that I was given to him as a gift by another executive.”
This account led to people wondering what kind of relationship she had with Diddy.
Elisabeth Ovesen and Diddy’s relationship explained.
Elisabeth described being “gifted” to the rap mogul after a chance encounter outside a club around 3 a.m.
According to Elisabeth, Diddy’s car pulled up, and he asked Irv Gotti and Ja Rule about her.
The men responded, and Diddy instructed them to “send her to my house.” Elisabeth recalled, “That was it. I got the order to go to his house, and that was the first time he and I spent time.”
Elisabeth entered Diddy’s world with her “eyes open,” intending to document the experiences. She described one of his Star Island mansion parties as reminiscent of The Great Gatsby, with: men in tuxedos; topless women; champagne and hors d’oeuvres and trays of pills being passed around.
Elisabeth remembered, “You choose your pill, take your champagne, and that’s your vibe for the night.” She emphasized, “It’s f–king intense.”
Elisabeth further revealed a darker side of the parties alleging that behind closed doors, men exerted power and inflicted pain on women.
Although she didn’t elaborate on the specifics, Elisabeth found the viral video of Diddy and Cassie disturbingly familiar, describing it as “triggering.” She shared, “I know exactly how that feels.”
Elisabeth disclosed that she suffered abuse from some of the rappers she dated, including unnamed individuals.
In her memoir, she claimed relationships with Jay-Z, DMX, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Method Man, and Bobby Brown.
Elisabeth’s connection with Diddy remains unclear, but she shared a troubling incident in her book.
During a night out with Diddy and Xzibit, Elisabeth took ecstasy. Diddy described her to Xzibit as the type of woman who’d engage in explicit acts, which Elisabeth found peculiar since they hadn’t been intimate.
Elisabeth Ovesen said she was not one of Diddy’s victims.
Elisabeth clarified that she was not a victim of Diddy emphasizing, “His victims deserve space and time to discuss what happened in those rooms.”
Elisabeth highlighted a broader problem transcending music and hip-hop: “Men who hate women, men struggling with their sexuality, and those pretending to be straight when they’re not.” This toxicity, she argued, fuels misogyny.
This isn’t Elisabeth’s first attempt to speak out. Despite initial dismissals and character attacks (labeled “liar,” “crazy,” “bipolar,” “whore,” and “bitter”), she’s now receiving attention amid Diddy allegations.
On Instagram, Elisabeth stated, “I said everything I needed to say 20, 15, and 10 years ago… You all called me names. Now, you want my comments?”
Elisabeth also disclosed that she will release the 20th-anniversary edition of “Confessions of a Video Vixen” on March 4, 2025, featuring new chapters
