Cryptic Pregnancy: How Woman Left Restaurant With Newborn Baby

Pregnant women have put to bed in public places such as churches, and schools, but certainly not in restaurants.

Tayvia Woodfork and her family had visited the Golden Corral restaurant in North Little Rock, Arkansas, not knowing she would put to bed there.

The catch here is that Tayvia did not know she was 37 weeks pregnant.

This is a rare condition known as cryptic pregnancy whereby women are unaware of their pregnancy until the last weeks or until they give birth.

Cryptic pregnancy has been widely talked about on social media as a result of frequent cases of the condition.

Tayvia revealed that prior to that day, she hadn’t experienced any symptoms of pregnancy.

“There were no signs,” Tameka said. “We had no idea.”

According to Tayvia’s mother, Tameka Woodfork, her daughter felt stomach pain while eating and excused herself from the table to go to the bathroom.

“I said, ‘We have to go to the hospital,’ but she couldn’t move her legs, so we ended up calling 911,” Tameka said.

With the help of medical personnel who arrived just on time, Tayvia gave birth to a baby boy.

“They were still trying to figure out what was going on when she goes, ‘It’s out! It’s out!’. “The baby was in the toilet”, Tayvia narrated.

Shortly after, Golden Corral announced the news via its social media, naming the newborn the restaurant’s “youngest fan.”

A Golden Corral spokesperson who spoke to Today said, “As surprised as our team was at the news of a baby being born at our restaurant, we are truly honored to play such a momentous role in little Tamaar’s life.

“But no honor compares to having Tamaar carry on the ‘Golden Corral’ brand name in his own name, Tamar Kylon Corral Woodfork!”
