Just weeks before her sudden passing, Food Network star Anne Burrell shared that she’d be open to cooking with Meghan Markle on her Netflix show With Love, Meghan.
In an April interview with the Daily Mail, Burrell was asked if she’d appear on the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle series.
“Sure, of course. I’d go to the opening of an envelope,” she joked. “Why not cook with Meghan?”
While open to the idea, Burrell admitted she hadn’t tried Markle’s signature As Ever fruit spread
“I’m not really a jam girl,” she said, adding that she only makes it occasionally for her husband, Stuart Claxton, when they have scones.
Markle’s series, which premiered in March, has featured top chefs like Alice Waters and Roy Choi.
Tragically, Burrell was found unresponsive in her Brooklyn home on Tuesday morning.
Her husband reportedly discovered her on the shower floor, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 55. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
