Wendy Williams’ Ex-Husband Sues Her Guardian, the Judge Presiding Over Her Case and Others for $250 Million on Her Behalf

Wendy Williams’ ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, is suing 48 people connected to her court-ordered guardianship, claiming she’s been mistreated and exploited.

Filed on June 17, the lawsuit accuses her legal guardian, a judge, Wells Fargo, her assisted living facility, and others of violating her rights.

Hunter says Williams was placed under guardianship in 2022 without proper legal or medical evaluation and has since faced overmedication, poor treatment, and financial abuse.

He’s asking for a new guardian, her release from confinement, a full review of her finances, and $250 million in damages.

Hunter also wants to act as her “next friend,” a legal role that lets him represent her in court.

The suit does not seek to end the guardianship but calls the current system a “corrupt, criminal enterprise.”
