Multiple Award winning singer, Angelique Kidjo has joined forces with Pablo Nouvelle, a Swiss DJ/Producer on Milambi, a track from Nouvelle’s newly released EP Eliso.
According to a press release by the music label, Beating Heart, the track marks Angelique Kidjo’s venture into electronic music, fusing electronic sound with elements of afrobeat. The track is made of “archival African field recordings,”from Hugh Tracey’s collection.
The song was inspired by Pablo Nouvelle’s recent trips to Eswatini and Mozambique. Most recently, Angelique Kidjo released her album, Celia. Nigerian artiste, Yemi Alade also featured her on single “Shekere”.
