Aimee Lou Wood Thanks ‘SNL’ Star for Sending Flowers After ‘White Lotus’ Parody

Actress Aimee Lou Wood shared that Saturday Night Live apologized to her after a sketch she found “mean and unfunny.”

The sketch was a White Lotus-themed parody that mixed characters from the show with political figures like Donald Trump and his team.

Wood, who played Chelsea in The White Lotus, didn’t like how her character was portrayed.

She said the joke seemed to make fun of her teeth and British accent, even though she clarified she has a tooth gap—not bad teeth.

She said the sketch felt like it was “punching down” only at her, while everyone else was “punched up.”

Despite that, she made it clear she wasn’t mad at the SNL cast member Sarah Sherman, who played her character in the sketch.

In fact, Sherman sent her flowers afterward, which Wood thanked her for on Instagram, using a heart and tearful emoji.

Wood also mentioned she got an apology from SNL, though she didn’t say who it came from.

She finished by saying she’s happy to move on now that The White Lotus season has ended, but she hopes future jokes are smarter and more thoughtful.
