Illinois Ice Cream Shop Owner Faces Charges for Recording Women and Girls In Restroom

An Illinois ice cream shop owner, Steven Weisberg, has been accused of atrocious crimes after allegedly placing a hidden camera in the shop’s bathroom to record women and girls. Weisberg, the owner of Flavor Frenzy located in Addison, was arrested on charges of child pornography and unauthorized video recording in a public place.

According to reports, police found a hidden camera inside an electrical outlet in the shop’s restroom after receiving an anonymous complaint. The camera was strategically placed to capture images of women and girls using the restroom, including a 16-year-old employee who unknowingly exposed herself while trying on different t-shirts at Weisberg’s request.

Authorities discovered that Weisberg had been accessing the recordings on his laptop and phone, with 11 videos found in his cellphone’s “deleted” folder. The videos allegedly showed multiple female employees, including minors, undressing and exposing themselves to the hidden camera.

Following his arrest, four other teenage employees came forward with similar experiences, stating that Weisberg had asked them to model t-shirts without wearing bras for photos. As a result of the scandal, Flavor Frenzy has been closed, and its business license voluntarily surrendered.

Weisberg is now facing legal consequences for his actions, with his next court appearance scheduled for September 15. The community is shocked and outraged by the violation of privacy and exploitation of young women and girls at the ice cream shop.
