Marika Domińczyk is a Polish-American actress born on July 7, 1980, in Kielce, Swietokrzyskie, Poland. She is best known in the United States for her role on Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Eliza Minnick, which she starred in the thirteenth season.

Marika Domiczyk is one of Aleksandra Dominczyk’s three daughters. Her father was a key figure in Poland’s Solidarity movement. As a kid, she emigrated to the United States.

Personal life

Domińczyk became engaged to actor Scott Foley in 2006, and the couple wed in a private ceremony in Hawaii in 2007. Marika and Scott met on the set of The Help when he was 32 and she was 24. They got married the next year in Hawaii. Together, they have two children.

Career

In 2004, Domińczyk appeared in the short-lived television series The Help. From 2006-2007, she guest-starred on the ABC’s Brothers & Sisters as Tyler Altamirano. Despite her being of Polish origins, her looks have often led to her being cast in Hispanic roles.

Then, in 2019, Marika reprised her role as Tina Marek in Whiskey Cavalier, in which her husband, Scott Foley, also appeared.
