The UK version of the popular dating show Love Is Blind has premiered on Netflix, hosted by celebrity couple Emma and Matt Willis.
The new season has already delivered plenty of drama, including a surprising twist: Catherine Richards, who initially paired up with Freddie Powell in the pods, has moved on to date someone else from the show.
This revelation comes after Freddie’s shocking decision to call off their wedding at the altar, despite confessing his love for Catherine.
Fans took to social media to inquire about the status of their relationship, especially since Freddie cited timing issues as the reason for his change of heart.
The sudden turn of events has left viewers eager to know more about Catherine’s new connection and the aftermath of Freddie’s unexpected rejection.
Cat revealed that she’s in a new relationship with someone she met on the show – Jake, a 32-year-old civil engineer from Leicestershire.
The couple has been together for almost a year and lives together with their dog.
Cat explained that she reached out to Jake after seeing him on social media and discovering he was the same person from the show. Initially, Jake was surprised, thinking she was still married, but they quickly connected and spent hours talking on FaceTime.
Their relationship blossomed, and they now share a home together. Cat expressed her joy in being able to openly discuss her new relationship, marking a happy new chapter in her life.
Reflecting on her time in the pods, Cat shared her initial impressions of Jake, saying, “In the girls’ lounge, everyone would discuss their connections, and Jake’s name was mentioned, but Freddie’s wasn’t.
“At the time, I only had a strong connection with Freddie and didn’t consider anyone else.
“However, I believe that everything happens for a reason, and if I hadn’t gone through that experience with Freddie, I might not have ended up with Jake.
So, in a way, I’m grateful for how things turned out.”
