Who is Kyna Khare? 12-year-old World’s Youngest Female Scuba Diver

At just 12 years old, Kyna Khare made history by becoming the world’s youngest female master scuba diver.

Starting her diving journey at 10 in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, she quickly mastered scuba diving in two years.

Kayna shared in an interview with news agency ANI that her initial scuba diving adventure in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was fun, where she did an open water dive.

She mentioned, “After that, I completed my open water course in Bali, Indonesia, and my advanced open water course in Thailand.

“Eventually, I achieved the title of Master Diver in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.”

Who is Kyna Khare?

Kyna Khare is a native of Bengaluru, Karnataka India.

Khare’s remarkable accomplishments include earning certifications in advanced open water, underwater photography, Nitrox diving, perfect buoyancy control, rescue diver training, and various speciality courses.

These achievements led to her well-deserved recognition as a Master Diver, a title reserved for young divers who exhibit exceptional knowledge, dedication, and skill.

Kyna encountered some challenges while diving underwater

Kyna shared some of the challenges she has experienced while diving underwater.

She said, “You just don’t know what is about to happen and there could be terrible weather, which doesn’t let you see anything.

“The person you dived with could get lost, and you have to look for them. Sometimes, fish try to attack you”.

Kayna also expressed her fearlessness towards challenges, noting that even a simple walk on the road could hold dangers.

She shared her fascination with underwater ecosystems and creatures like fish, particularly highlighting sea turtles as her personal favorites due to their amazing and large nature.

Additionally, she mentioned completing dives in India’s Andaman and Nicobar Islands, along with diving experiences in Bali, the Maldives, and Thailand, emphasizing the uniqueness of each location.

Kyna enjoys massive support from her parents

Despite some initial reservations, her parents wholeheartedly endorsed her enthusiasm and made sure that stringent safety measures were meticulously adhered to.

Anshuma, her mother, fondly mentioned that Kyna has always been a ‘water girl’.

They took a chance due to her passion, which solidified their conviction that she should pursue her calling.

Kyna’s dream is to go into marine science, her journey exemplifies how dedication, passion, and the unwavering support of family can lead to extraordinary accomplishments.
