What To Know About ‘Amazon Haul’: New Temu And Shein Competitor

In an effort to compete with low-priced, fast-fashion retailers like Shein, Temu and the TikTok Shop, Amazon has introduced a new outlet called Haul, which offers goods at lower prices but with longer delivery times since products ship directly from a Chinese warehouse.

Amazon’s Chinese e-commerce competitors have seen significant growth in recent years, but they’ve also come under fire for the environmental effects of producing and shipping an increasing number of inexpensive products.

Haul represents Amazon’s long-anticipated entry into the market for cheaper goods with longer shipping times, a model that has contributed to the success of Temu and Shein.

Here’s all you need to know about Haul and how to access it.

Amazon’s new outlet Haul has low prices

Launched as a mobile-only experience within its Shopping app for U.S. customers on Wednesday, Haul promises “crazy low prices” on products that are “worth the wait,” with delivery times of up to two weeks.

In Amazon Haul, there’s a unique storefront accessible only through the retailer’s mobile app or mobile browsers, where you can find a variety of items, including home goods, clothing, and electronics, all priced at $20 or less, with many items under $10.

Examples include a three-piece razor set and a jewelry set featuring a necklace, bracelet, and earrings, each priced just under three dollars.

Free delivery is offered for orders of $25 or more, with typical delivery times ranging from one to two weeks.

While Amazon is known for its quick delivery options via Amazon Prime, Haul purchases will generally take longer to arrive.

Amazon ensures that products on its Haul marketplace are “safe, authentic, and compliant with applicable regulations.”

However, items purchased for under $3 cannot be returned.
