Lala Kent has shared a concerning health update with her followers, revealing that doctors have found an abnormality in her eye and she will need a biopsy.
The 34-year-old “Vanderpump Rules” star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to explain the situation. She had previously mentioned her eye issue in a Mother’s Day video.
Lala recounted her initial visit to an eye doctor who believed it was just an inflamed pinguecula (a common, non-cancerous growth on the white part of the eye).
Many online commenters suggested the same or attributed it to allergies.
However, Lala said she felt something wasn’t right because the prescribed eye drops weren’t helping.
Seeking a second opinion from a highly recommended doctor, she received different news. This new doctor examined her eye and stated that he did not believe it was a pinguecula at all.
Instead, he wants to perform a biopsy because it appears to be potentially pre-cancerous.
Lala explained that doctors are trying to schedule surgery quickly to remove the mass and determine its nature.
She also mentioned that she first noticed a “discoloration” on the white of her eye (sclera) about two months ago.
