The Church, Australian rock legends, have recently announced five new North American dates as part of their 45th anniversary tour, expanding their already extensive summer run across the U.S. and Canada. The band took to Instagram to share the exciting news with their fans, expressing their happiness at being able to add more shows to their upcoming tour.

The newly added concerts include stops in Norwalk, CT, Woodstock, NY, Cleveland, OH, Homer, NY, and Toronto, ON, Canada. An exclusive fan pre-sale for tickets and limited VIP packages began, followed by Spotify and local venue presales before the general public on-sale on Friday. The band advised fans to act quickly as several shows are already sold out, with others nearing capacity.

These additions come as part of a five-week tour that kicks off in Seattle on June 5 and concludes in Denver on July 11. Originally postponed, these rescheduled dates now mark a full celebration of The Church’s remarkable 45-year career.

Founded in Sydney in 1980, The Church gained a global following with their dreamy blend of post-punk and psychedelic rock. Hits like “Under the Milky Way,” “The Unguarded Moment,” and “Reptile” solidified their place in music history. Recent albums like “The Hypnogogue” and “Eros Zeta and the Perfumed Guitars” have garnered critical acclaim and reinforced their evolving sound.

The band’s latest release, “Sacred Echoes (Part Two),” has added to the anticipation surrounding their anniversary tour with frontman Steve Kilbey describing it as a unique and intense track. With strong demand for tickets, fans are eager to catch The Church live as they celebrate 45 years of music.

The tour will make major stops in cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, New York City, and Chicago before closing out in Denver. Canadian fans can also enjoy a special July 4 show in Toronto. The current lineup features Kilbey alongside other talented musicians, creating a memorable experience for fans who have followed The Church since the 1980s.

For fans and music lovers alike, this tour is not just a series of concerts but a significant milestone in the band’s career. As The Church themselves stated, “See you out there this summer!”
