Gabby Windey, known for her appearance on “The Bachelorette,” surprised fans with the announcement of her secret marriage to comedian Robby Hoffman.
The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony on January 11, 2025.
Windey shared the news on Instagram, posting photos from the special day and captioning them “Husband and wife!! 1/11/2025 🥂💍.”
The ceremony, officiated by a “disengaged minister in red sneakers,” according to Cosmopolitan, was a unique and intimate affair.
Windey, wearing a high-neck, long-sleeve lace gown, walked down the aisle to Chappell Roan’s “Hot To Go,” leading to a fun dance break before exchanging vows.
The decision to elope, Windey revealed, came amidst the chaos of the Los Angeles wildfires. “We had just evacuated from the fires.
Literally cue Rihanna, ‘We found love in a hopeless place,'” she jokingly explained to Cosmopolitan.
Facing the uncertainty of the fires, the couple found themselves without a place to stay in LA, prompting them to head to Vegas, where they were accommodated in a penthouse suite.
The couple’s decision to elope was driven by their shared backgrounds, as Windey explained that they both come from “atypical, non-totally-nuclear families,” making an intimate ceremony just for the two of them feel right.
Hoffman, echoing this sentiment, described the day as “perfect,” highlighting the affordability of their intimate celebration.
He shared that the entire wedding, including the limousine, photos, minister, and wedding package, cost only $799.
“It was the best wedding I’ve ever been to,” Hoffman said, emphasizing the specialness of spending the day solely with Windey.
“We got to spend our wedding truly together. We love to be together.”
Following the ceremony, the couple was able to return to LA, where, despite the wildfires, their house miraculously survived the destruction.
