After months of rumors, singer Teyana Taylor and actor Aaron Pierre have officially confirmed they are a couple.
Their relationship was cemented by a video circulating on social media, showing the two sharing a kiss as Taylor, 34, surprised Pierre, 31, with a birthday party.
Before the surprise, Taylor had already hinted at their romance with a flirty Instagram post for Pierre’s birthday on Saturday.
She shared two cozy photos, one a selfie of them, and another showing Pierre looking into her eyes on a set.
“Cheers to Thirty-WON & many more wins around the sun. H”AP”PY BIRTHDAY Woody,” she captioned the post.
Pierre responded in the comments, writing, “Now and always. Thank you Tey.” Celebrity friends like Taraji P. Henson and Gabrielle Union also shared their support.
The couple first sparked dating rumors in February when they were seen together at the American Black Film Festival Honors.
The following month, Taylor seemed to confirm their status by sharing photos from the 2025 Oscars, captioned “Oscar night in black & white, no grey area.” More recently, Pierre appeared in Taylor’s new music video for “Long Time.”
This public confirmation comes nearly a year after Teyana Taylor finalized her divorce from ex-husband Iman Shumpert in July 2024.
Taylor and Shumpert, who were married for seven years, have two daughters, Junie, 9, and Rue, 4.
