Starz has dropped the trailer for its new series “Three Women,” inspired by Lisa Taddeo’s celebrated 2019 book.
The 10-episode drama, set to premiere on Friday, September 13, explores the complications of female desire through interconnected storylines.
The show boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Shailene Woodley, DeWanda Wise, Betty Gilpin, and Gabrielle Creevy.
Gilpin takes on the role of Lina, a suburban homemaker in Indiana dealing with a lacklustre marriage until an affair changes everything.
Wise portrays Sloane, an entrepreneur in an open marriage with Richard, played by Blair Underwood.
Creevy embodies Maggie, a student in North Dakota facing the repercussions of accusing her English teacher, portrayed by Jason Ralph, of misconduct.
Woodley shines as Gia, a mourning writer who encourages each woman to share her tale, serving as the series’ narrator.
Woodley is telling women’s raw and honest stories in the trailer
“More than I wanted to tell their stories, I wanted to hear them myself,” Woodley said in the trailer.
