The 44-year-old Pitch Perfect actress Rebel Wilson married 40-year-old fashion and jewellery designer Ramona Agruma from Latvia, after a 19-month engagement.
The couple began dating in 2022 and got engaged in February 2023. They tied the knot in Italy over the weekend, with family and friends in attendance.
People magazine first broke the news, reporting that Rebel and Ramona were married in a destination wedding in Sardinia, Italy, on Saturday, 28 September. The Mirror has reached out to the couple’s representatives for comment.
Rebel and Ramona were introduced by a mutual friend, sparking a romance that began with phone conversations before they met in person. Rebel described the experience as romantic and old-fashioned.
The couple got engaged in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland, California, on Valentine’s Day, with Rebel proposing to Ramona. She shared the joyful moment on Instagram, thanking the person who provided the ring and the Disneyland team for making the surprise possible.
In her memoir, Rebel Rising, Rebel revealed more about the proposal. The couple also welcomed a daughter, Royce, born via surrogate in November 2022.
Rebel has spoken about how having Royce changed their lives, shifting their priorities from focusing on themselves to caring for their daughter.
Rebel also discussed the challenges they faced in setting a date and location for the wedding. She shared that Ramona had given her a “wedding planning survival kit” as a joke, which led them to start seriously planning the venue and guest list.
