Another baby for Princess Beatrice!
The royal has welcomed her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a baby girl named Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, who is also his third child.
Athena arrived several weeks early on January 22, weighing four pounds and five ounces.
According to a statement from Buckingham Palace shared on social media, both Beatrice and the infant “are healthy and doing well.”
In a sweet photo, Athena is seen wearing a white onesie, covering her face with one hand while wrapped in a pink blanket.
Her middle name honors Queen Elizabeth, who passed away in 2022 at the age of 96. The news of Beatrice’s pregnancy with baby No. 2 broke in October 2024.
Beatrice became a stepmom in July 2020 when she married Mozzi, who is 41 years old and has a son named Christopher “Wolfie” Woolf, born in April 2016 with his former fiancée, Dara Huang.
Wolfie served as his father’s best man during their small wedding ceremony, which took place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mozzi and Beatrice began dating in 2018 after his split from Huang and got engaged the following year.
Huang expressed her positive co-parenting relationship with the couple in a March interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, stating, “the more [parents], the merrier” for her child.
The couple also welcomed daughter Sienna in September, who shares Elizabeth as a middle name.
Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, shared at a March 2023 book launch that the newborn resembles her mother, calling her a “mini” version.
“She gets little pink tutus,” the Duchess of York, 65, said, adding, “Beatrice likes to dress her up like Barbie.”
