Motley Crue Fans Split Over 2026 Summer Tour Controversy

Motley Crue fans were buzzing with excitement over the band’s recently announced 2026 summer tour, but online debates quickly stirred up controversy. Nikki Sixx wasted no time defending his bandmate as discussions about Vince Neil’s vocals and health concerns resurfaced. The upcoming tour, featuring Tesla and Extreme, has reignited speculation about Neil’s return to full form following his health scares late last year.

One passionate fan on X didn’t hold back in expressing their opinion, stating bluntly that “Vince needs to get in shape and fix his voice first.” But Sixx, 66, was quick to clap back. The bassist pointed to Neil’s recent performances in Las Vegas, where he showcased a solid and powerful vocal performance.

“Did you hear him in Vegas? He sounded solid and bad ass,” Sixx responded, shutting down any negativity towards his bandmate. Neil’s return to the stage in Las Vegas marked his first shows since battling multiple strokes in late December, a health crisis that understandably raised concerns about his future with the band.

In a candid interview with Eddie Trunk during the residency, Neil, 64, shared that he was feeling “95 percent good” despite the physical challenges of performing. He admitted that certain demands, like running across the stage, were tough on his body but emphasized his commitment to improving with each show.

Sixx wasn’t done defending his bandmates. When a fan called for the return of founding guitarist Mick Mars, who retired in 2022 due to health reasons, Sixx gently reminded them of Mars’ physical limitations. Mars, 74, has been replaced by John 5 for live performances, and Sixx emphasized the importance of respecting Mars’ decision to step back from the demands of touring.

As expected, the topic of farewell tours was also brought up in the comments section. When one user joked about a “Farewell Tour Pt 3,” Sixx responded with a simple yet cheeky “Keepum Coming,” showing that he’s unfazed by the ongoing speculation and criticism surrounding the band.

The upcoming Motley Crue tour is sure to continue sparking debates and discussions among fans, but with Sixx standing firm in his support of his bandmates, it’s clear that the legendary rock band remains united and ready to rock the stage once again.
