Meghan Markle Postpones Launch of Netflix Show Due to Los Angeles Devastating Wildfires

Meghan Markle is prioritizing support for those affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

Although she was scheduled to launch her new Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan,” on January 15, she has chosen to delay the premiere to March 4.

“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California”, she said in a statement according to People.

Recently, Markle and her husband Prince Harry, who live in Montecito with their children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3, after stepping back from their royal duties, visited the Pasadena Convention Center to assist those impacted by the fires.

The couple also provided resources on their website, stating, “In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have swept through neighborhoods, leaving families, homes, schools, and medical care centers devastated — impacting tens of thousands from all walks of life.A state of emergency has been declared.”

Harry, 40, and Markle, 43, urged readers to open their homes as the fires, which have claimed at least 24 lives, continue to affect the community.

“If a friend, loved one, or pet needs to evacuate and you can offer them a safe place in your home, please do,” they wrote. “Also, check in on any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need assistance evacuating.”

The couple also emphasized the importance of considering essential items to donate. “Many families and individuals have lost everything,” Harry and Markle pointed out. “Please think about donating clothing, children’s toys and clothing, and other necessities.”
