Kim Kardashian already knows who will receive her engagement ring.
In this week’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim and her sister Khloé Kardashian, 40, visit India for a wedding and reveal that they accidentally lost one of the diamonds from Kim’s borrowed necklace for the event.
As they discuss the necklace, Kim reflects on her past engagement rings, mentioning that she still has the first one from her ex, Kanye West.
“My first engagement ring from Kanye was a cushion cut, and that was the only piece of jewelry I didn’t take to Paris,” Kim shares.
She was famously robbed in 2016, losing most of her jewelry during the ordeal.
She adds, “When we were at Madison Square Garden, you told me to wear both rings, so I did, and we took an Instagram video like this. Kanye saw it and said, ‘Don’t ever wear both rings at the same time. Are you trying to get robbed?’”
Kanye initially proposed to Kim with a 15-carat cushion-cut diamond ring while she was pregnant with their daughter North, now 11.
He later gifted her a new 20-carat emerald-cut ring in 2016.Kim explains that when they traveled to Paris, she decided to leave behind her first engagement ring, which she considers the “most important.”
“I’m going to give it to Northie because she was with me when I got engaged,” Kim says. “She held it afterward, and I took a photo of her. She was just a few months old.”
A few months after receiving the new ring, Kim was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room during Fashion Week, losing over $10 million worth of jewelry, including the 20-carat diamond.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021, and their divorce was finalized in November 2022.
They share four children: daughters North and Chicago, 7, and sons Psalm, 5, and Saint, 9.
