Kim Kardashian, Lauren Sanchez Engage In High Bidding War At Charity Dinner

Kim Kardashian and Lauren Sánchez engaged in a high power bidding war over Balenciaga at the Kering Foundation’s third annual Caring for Women dinner in New York.

The two power players and fashion enthusiasts were both vying for a “coveted Balenciaga Couture experience,” playfully raising funds for the Kering Foundation.

Adding to the excitement, a third bidder joined in, escalating the bidding to an impressive $175,000.

According to an insider, “Balenciaga quickly agreed that all three could enjoy the experience for $175K each,” resulting in a total of $525,000 raised.

This exclusive lot allowed participants to choose a piece from Balenciaga Couture Collections showcased in Paris, described as “an experience reserved for a select few.”

For those familiar with fashion jargon, “couture” simply means crafting clothes tailored to a client’s preferences.

Balenciaga detailed in the program that the lot represented “a timeless and pure expression of craft, providing an architecture to the silhouette that gives the wearer the strongest notion of elegance and sophistication.”

Sánchez, 54, and Kardashian, 43, both bid on the same lot last year and ended up as dual winners.

The star-studded night was co-hosted by Kardashian, Salma Hayek, Kering CEO François-Henri Pinault, Matthew McConaughey, Camila Alves, Carmelo Anthony, Priyanka Chopra, artist Urs Fischer, designer Donatella Versace, and Naomi Watts.

Other attendees include: Sanchez’s fiancé Jeff Bezos, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan, Dakota Johnson, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington and more.

Kering’s luxury fashion brands also include Gucci, Brioni, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen and others.

Fashion powerhouse, Kering, established its foundation back in 2008 with the mission to “combat gender-based violence and child abuse to disrupt the cycle of intergenerational violence.”
