Colombian singer Karol G has been named Woman of the Year at the second annual Billboard Latin Women in Music 2024.
After bagging Billboard‘s 2024 Woman of the Year award in March, Karol will be recognized once more in June 9 for her “extraordinary milestones and unparalleled impact on the music industry.”
The award ceremony will air exclusively on Telemundo at 9 p.m. ET on June 9, and will be simultaneously available on the Telemundo app and Peacock.
Karol has been consistently working hard to become a force to be reconked with. Last year year, she became the first female artist to top the Billboard 200 with a Spanish-language album.
Her album Mañana Será Bonito got the Colombian singer an award, while in March, she won her first Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album.
The superstar also sold more than a million tickets duringher Mañana Será Bonito tour, a 12-country, 15-city tour.
However, apart from her remarkable success in the music industry, Karol launched a foundation, Con Cora.
The foundation caters to women who are breadwinners, at-risk youth, pregnant teens, and low income women.
