Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, who recently appeared to reconcile, are reportedly planning to sue a Beverly Hills dentist, Dr. Thomas Connelly.
The couple accuses Dr. Connelly of medical malpractice and negligence, claiming he enabled West’s alleged addiction to nitrous oxide, also known as “laughing gas.”
According to reports, West and Censori intend to sue Dr. Connelly for gross negligence, fraud, and exploitation.
They claim that the dentist provided excessive amounts of nitrous oxide during dental procedures and even supplied “surgical-size” tanks of the gas to their shared home, allegedly encouraging West to use it outside of a medical setting.
Lawyers for the couple stated that Dr. Connelly also instructed West on how to self-administer the gas and continued to provide it even when the rapper began showing concerning neurological symptoms and erratic behavior consistent with overuse.
Furthermore, the legal notice alleges that Dr. Connelly administered a substance similar to propofol, a strong sedative, to West and discharged him without ensuring he was medically sound.
As a result, West reportedly suffered severe mental and physical distress requiring urgent medical attention.
The lawyers for West and Censori described Dr. Connelly’s actions as negligent, grossly negligent, and reckless, with some actions potentially being intentional and malicious.
