Jessica Simpson and Husband Eric Johnson Split After 10 Years of Marriage

Jessica Simpson and her husband, Eric Johnson, have decided to separate after 10 years of marriage.

“Eric and I have been living separately, navigating a painful situation in our marriage,” Simpson shared with People in a statement on Monday.

“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all the love and support we’ve received, and we appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”

The “Irresistible” singer, 44, sparked breakup rumors when fans noticed she hadn’t posted any photos with her husband, 45, since 2023.

Sharp-eyed observers have also pointed out that the fashion designer hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring in her social media posts since January 2024.

In September, Simpson shared a photo of herself in a stylish lace outfit, and her wedding ring was noticeably absent.

“Definitely a divorce,” one commenter noted on her post.

The retired NFL player shares three children with Simpson: Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11, and Birdie, 5.

Simpson and Johnson began dating in May 2010 while the former athlete was still married to his first wife, Keri D’Angelo.

He and D’Angelo finalized their divorce in October 2010, and Johnson married the pop star four years later in July 2014.

The “Open Book” author was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002 to 2006, a relationship that was documented in their MTV reality show, “Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica,” which aired for three seasons.

Simpson has also been in a relationship with John Mayer and has been romantically linked to Tony Romo, Billy Corgan, Adam Levine, and Johnny Knoxville.
