The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set deadlines for Nigerian public universities to finalize their 2025 admissions by October 31, 2025. Private universities have until November 30, while all other tertiary institutions, including both public and private, must wrap up admissions by December 31, 2025.
This decision was made during the 2025 Policy Meeting chaired by the Minister of Education to ensure a smooth academic calendar and fair access to admission slots. JAMB is encouraging institutions to complete admissions ahead of schedule, even if the academic session has not yet commenced, to prevent delays.
Institutions conducting post-UTME screenings must also adhere to the 2025 admission timeline by promptly completing the process. JAMB emphasized the importance of finalizing admissions and archiving the results to maintain efficiency.
