Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Miami had a notable attendee: Ivanka Trump.
The daughter of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump brought her 13-year-old daughter Arabella along with friends to catch Swift’s concert at Hard Rock Stadium over the weekend.
This outing comes shortly after Swift, 34, publicly endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, leading Donald Trump to post a straightforward message on social media that stated, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
Ivanka, 42, shares her daughter Arabella with husband Jared Kushner and previously expressed her daughter’s love for the pop superstar on her birthday in July.
To celebrate, Arabella received a white heart cake that featured the phrase, “Boys only want love if it’s torture,” a line from Swift’s 2014 hit “Blank Space.”
“Best cake for my favorite Swiftie,” Ivanka captioned an Instagram photo of the dessert, which had been sliced and was adorned in red, reminiscent of the cake from the “Blank Space” music video.
In the lead-up to the election, Donald Trump utilized Swift’s image for his campaign, posting on social media that included campaign merchandise inspired by the Eras Tour.
In her endorsement of Harris, shared on Instagram on Sept. 10, Swift expressed her discomfort with Trump using her likeness to promote his campaign.
“Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” she stated.
“It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”
Swift continued, “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.
“I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
The following day, Trump addressed the endorsement during an interview with Fox & Friends.
“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” he stated on the show. “It was just a question of time. … But she’s a very liberal person.
She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
Swift is currently on her Eras Tour, which kicked off in March 2023 and is set to conclude in December after nearly 150 performances.
