It’s Offensive to Everybody – Harris Rebukes Trump For His Comment On Women

Kamala Harris has criticized Donald Trump, stating that he fails to comprehend women’s perspectives when he claims to protect them “whether they like it or not.”

Harris emphasized that the former president does not grasp women’s rights to make choices regarding their own lives, including their bodies.

“I think it’s offensive to everybody, by the way,” Harris said as she prepared to campaign in the states of Arizona and Nevada.

Harris has highlighted reproductive freedom as a central theme of her election campaign, often sharing stories of women who have suffered or even died due to limited access to therapeutic abortions caused by inconsistent state laws.

While, Trump appointed three justices to the US Supreme Court, creating the conservative majority that overturned federal abortion rights in June 2022.

At public events, Trump has claimed he would “protect women” and ensure they wouldn’t have to “think about abortion,” asserting that he would also shield them from “criminals.”

He reiterated these remarks during a rally on Wednesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, informing supporters that his aides advise him to stop using the phrase because it’s deemed inappropriate.

He mentioned telling his aides, “Well, I’m going to do it whether the women like it or not. I am going to protect them.”

Harris has asserted that this reflects a broader trend with Trump.

“This is just the latest on a long series of reveals by the former president of how he thinks about women and their agency,” she said.
