Adele has finally put the rumors to rest!
During her concert in Munich, Germany, on August 9, the singer responded to a fan’s proposal by revealing she’s already engaged to sports executive Rich Paul.
“I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married”, she said.
Although she wasn’t wearing a ring at the time, she was spotted with a stunning pear-shaped diamond on her ring finger last month in London.
This confirmation comes after months of speculation about their whirlwind romance.
Adele had opened up to Elle in August 2022 she said: “I’ve never been in love like this… I’m obsessed with him.”
Adele’s romance with Rich Paul, CEO of KLUTCH Sports Group, first started in July 2021, when they were spotted cheering on their team together at an NBA Finals game.
But what fans didn’t know was that their connection went way back. In an interview with Vogue, Adele revealed that she and Paul had actually met years prior at a party, where she was drawn to his infectious energy.
“I was a bit drunk and joked about him signing me as an athlete,” she laughed. “But what really caught my attention was how he was dancing while all the other guys just sat around.”
In February 2022, Adele flaunted a dazzling ring on her finger at the BRIT Awards, which led to speculations about a possible proposal.
However, she playfully dodged the question on The Graham Norton Show, saying, “As if I would ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t engaged!”
Fast forward to August 2022, Adele confessed to Elle that she’s “absolutely” open to tying the knot again and expanding her family.
“I’m a homemaker and a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music,” she shared.
As Rich Paul celebrated his 41st birthday in December, Adele serenaded him with a sweet “Happy Birthday” performance at her Las Vegas residency show.
